I bought this fabric on a whim the other day. My guess is that behind the 'whim' was a secret longing for a holiday and the design on this fabric just spoke to me. The colours are very 'gidget goes to the beach', so I think a bit of nostalgia also played its part in the purchase. My next decision is what to turn this piece of travel cloth into. Vintage inspired travel prints seem to be popping up in skirts recently a la Hat Feathers Vintage. This gorgeous 50's style skirt emblazoned with hotel decals is a case in point.
HanseART has this one on offer, the design just urging you to leap into a gondola.
However, I don't think I can visualise my cloth becoming either of these. A great big beach sack like this
is quite likely. If any of you have any brilliant suggestions, send them forth, meanwhile, I'm off to pack the combi.
