Who would have thought it would get to the stage that you would be throwing a Maxi dress into the weekly grocery shop along with the cat food and the cornflakes? Well that time for me has arrived, as during my last trip to Coles I was confronted by an incredible range of bargain-priced, stylish clothing that created a huge diversion from the cereal and pet food aisles.
Mix Apparel is a cheap and cheerful clothing range that Coles supermarkets have added to a select group of their stores. Fortunately, I happened upon a bit of a clearance day and managed these wardrobe additions:
Clearance or not however, the prices don't seem to reach any higher than $29 on full-priced items, so we can't really do a lot of financial damage as we buy our weekly supplies ...can we?
The Mix range is definitely going to suit if you are a person who:
a) likes to pick up a pavlova and a dress to wear, on the way to the BBQ,
b) needs something clean to wear to work tomorrow and has no time left to put a load on, or
c) wants to experiment with a new trend ie maxi, ruffles, lace without spending a king's ransom.
Mix won't be for you if:
a) you aren't prepared to pull outfits over your clothing in public (there are no fitting rooms),
b) your idea of the height of social embarrassment is appearing next to someone in the same skirt, or
c) you're a close friend of Anna Wintour.
Happy Mixing!
