Sometimes a hat is too much. However, plain old hair just doesn't seem right with the lovely 50's inspired floral dresses that are all about this summer. For those of you who lie awake at night and ponder this fashion dilemma, there is a solution - glammed-up hair combs.
As you can see from the Maria Elena version above, you can have a gorgeous floral arrangement in your hair quite easily, as the artificial flowers are simply secured to a trusty old hair comb. They are quite makeable (is that a word) really and if I could just set aside my children, house, job and cat for a day, I might even attempt to create my own.
Why stop at flowers - Lotus Lulu hasn't, hers are a fabulous gathering of butterflies. Blue Marmalade has designed hers with beads.
If the whole hair corsage thing is a bit much for you, just a few decorated bobby pins a la Emily Wootton, might be more your style.
