Quite often a fashion trend comes along, to which I say, 'Forget that!' and then very soon down the track find myself wearing it with pride. By the look of things, these new knee socks could fall into this category. When I first spotted them on Carrie
I just couldn't warm to them, but now, some six months later and having seen them around I can imagine they will be a good thing this coming Autumn instead of tights.
Obviously, they will need to be worn with short skirts - or (gulp) shorts - yes, and thighs are going to be a feature.
Pixie Geldof certainly manages to make a feature of them - not sure if I'll be running with the electric blue boots though.
Anyway, as we sit back and watch this fashion trend make its mark on the coming season, I don't think anyone will be able to pull the look off quite so appealingly as this icon.
