Sensible Swimmers

It's not often (in fact unheard of) that a swimwear trend appears and you're immediately certain you'll look divine in it. Well suddenly here it is - the vintage swimdress - and it just shows if you wait around long enough, a fashion trend will reappear that you knew was right for you if only you lived in the era. All we have had to do is wait fifty years. The flattering 'swimdress' has returned, shielding innocent onlookers from belly bulge and (horror) pubic indiscretion.
Of course, Michael Kors' version is very St Tropez/Resort, but that's usually the look we are trying to achieve when we are scooping dead beetles out of the skimmer box- isn't it? Perhaps in his wisdom, he designed the matching bag for scattering the dead on the garden bed.
If you can't bring yourself to sport the pious style, here is Juicy Couture's interpretation. Almost looks like a Victoria's Secret night ensemble (maybe you'll have two outfits in one).
Of them all, I really think Urban Outfitters (above) have the look nailed. Vintage and polka dots - a match made in heaven!
Have fun flaunting yourself this summer and if you're concerned about the expense of new togs - consider the money you will be saving on Nair.
