Wrist Watch

The over-sized handbag has served us well both in function and style. Our 'big bags' have allowed us to tote our lives around while simultaneously creating an optical illusion- we appear petite next to our large bag! All indicators from the international runways seem to suggest that this is a look set to continue. Sometimes though, you just need some breathing space away from this big fashion beast, and this is when a wristlet comes into its own. Designed to carry the essentials it can feel so liberating to head out the door with one dangling on your arm. The Coach wristlet above is a perfect example.
Seeking true liberation, I bought one of these in black, from our own Australian handbag company Olga Berg. I have to say this is the wristlet of wristlets because I can just squeeze my phone, credit card and key inside and that's it! However, while everyone's handbags are sulking under tables, my Olga wristy perches next to my wine glass enjoying the conversation.
You can always rely on Marc Jacobs to come up trumps with a style trend. He has managed to get the big bag lock thing happening in his wristlet and produce it in a colour that is completely trans-seasonal. Go here for details. Retailing at US$198, you'd want to be getting some real emancipation from this one.
Guess who designed this one? Yes you savvy fashionista, of course its from Dior, who coincidentally shares his 'christian' name with my younger son (just thought I'd mention this in case Dior folk are reading this blog and send me a freebie.) Very classy, very pricey and very well worth flaunting. Take a look at Posh down here, while she is not carrying the Dior as such, she certainly gives us the idea of how chic these little black bags can look.
So while your big bag is not looking, browse the chain stores, surf the net or pop over to my shop for some stylish wrist action.
